Things I’m Digging, Right Now!
The iPhone!
This thing is sweet! I have had mine for about 2 months and it never ceases to amaze me!
The greatest thing about the iPhone are the Applications. There are so many applications availbale for so many different things. The best thing about them is that most of them are free!
I have some awesome games like Tap Tap Revenge, FS5 Hockey, Hanoi, iBowl, and Cyber Chess (Cyber Chess couldn’t be any more difficult!).
I have some awsome research tools like Wikipanion and the YouVersion Bible which puts about every version and language of the Bible instantly in your hands.
Two of my newest Apps are ScoreMobile, which allows me to keep track of any professional sports’ stats and scores in real time, and Loopt, which enables me to be able to track my friends who have iPhones and chat with them on a MySpace-like platform.
I am looking forward to the day when more of my friends and family get iPhones so we can enjoys some of the incredible Apps together.
There are, however, a few things that could be improved on with the iPhone: 1.) It needs a longer battery life, 2.) It should have been created to be more compatible with older iPod accessories- like docking stations, chargers, and car stereo adaptors, 3.) If you recieve a text from a number that is not in your contacts, you do not have an option to save the number from that text to your contacts- that is lame- every other phone I have had has that option, 4.) While looking at a specific contact, you are not allowed to send that contact information via text messaging to someone else- this is also lame- once again, every other phone that I have had gives you this option, 5.) You cannot send picture, video, or audio multimedia messages from the iPhone- this is ridiculous and makes no sense at all!, 6.) The iPhone cannot capture video- come on now!, AND 7.) there needs to be a way to download Google Maps onto the phone so the GPS can interface with the map when you’re not in cell phone range.
This was supposed to be things that I am digging, but instead it has sounded like me bashing the iPhone. I really am not though. I love it, there is just some room for improvement
