Andy Stanley’s 5 Things To Ask Yourself When Preparing a Sermon
I have been so stretched and inspired by the leadership giftings of Andy Stanley. I recently listened to a talk by him where he listed 5 things you need to ask when you are preparing for a sermon. They are:
1. What is the one thing they need to know? (information)
2. Why do they need to know it? (the hook at the beginning of your message)
3. What do they need to do? (application)
4. Why do they need to do it? (help them dream)
5. What can I do to make them remember?
In Kindergarten I was officially voted 'Most Inquisitive'.
I have been asking questions ever since as I believe that they are the catalyst to discovering the world all around us.
The answers to these questions have led me into an everlasting committed relationship with Jesus Christ, into a marriage with the love of my life, and into being the father of the two most beautiful children on earth.
It is my personal mission to glorify God with my life, advance His Kingdom through my ministry, and to love my family with everything I have.
