So Busy!!!!!

I have been SO busy lately and I am a little overwhelmed! Ok, so a lot overwhelmed!

Needless to say; I haven’t blogged at all lately and I am feeling a little guilty about it!

First I went to a youth camp for 5 days to be a counselor and to speak. Then I came back for about one day to paint my parents deck. Then I went to Seattle for about 5 days to visit my brother-in-law. And now I am working LIKE CRAZY trying to get stuff completed for my installation as co-pastor on September 13th.

I have been working with Bo Lane, our designer, on logos, signs, invite cards, magazines, and bulletin covers. I have been in the trenches fighting for a good new name for our church. I have been organizing leaders and planning meetings for them.

And mainly, I have been working like mad on preparing a Leadership Manual for our church’s staff and volunteers that I will be teaching from and presenting on September 12 for the leadership day that I planned. There I willl be going over the new direction of the church.

I have been stressing out over how to tactfully ask people to stop doing things that they have been doing, which bare no fruit, for years and encourage them to do new effective things.

Throw in the mix of having most of church’s leadership highly involved in working at our fundraisng booth at the Oregon State Fair and not knowing when I will be called to work there has made this all the more the stressful.

But through it all I know that God is in control! I just need some prayer right now for peace and for strength! I need some prayer that God will supply our financial needs, as well, during this difficult time of transition.

All that being said, I need to start writing more. I will probably be posting some of my thoughts from the Leadership Training that I am preparing over the next week or so..
