Prayers
Yesterday morning my daughter woke up very sick. She had a fever, was vomiting, and had a very hard time breathing. Because of the rapid, strained breathing we were worried about the H1N1 virus. So we brought her into the doctor and when the doctor saw her stomach moving rapidly with her breaths, he immediately had a very concerned look on his face and left the room to get an Albuterol tank to see if ten minutes of breathing on that would help.
For the first 4 minutes my little girl fought that breathing apparatus like a lion! It was horrible. She finally got her self so worn out from fighting with us that she zonked out for the remaining time. It was sad.
The Albuterol worked a little bit so the doctor was pleased and diagnosed her with pneumonia. He prescribed her with an antibiotic and an Albuterol inhaler and said she should be feeling better within a few days.
I posted on Facebook and Twitter my little girl”s situation and was so happy to see the huge response of prayer from all over. Sometimes I don’t understand why more people praying for something makes a difference. Sometimes I wonder why us praying even moves God to act at all? I mean God is in control and He does what He wants, right?
And God knew who will pray and who will not far before the world began! But I think it’s all about trust. He wants us to trust Him and He chose long ago to answer some of our prayers when we show trust in Him.
Either way; God is healing my daughter and for that I am thrilled! Today, besides some raspy breathing and a mildly reduced appetite- she is doing great and I thank God for her progress.
