Associated

If you are associated with something or someone that doesn’t necessarily portray or have the same worldview as you; will you always be affiliated with that? Or when people look at you; will they always think of what that person or organization stands for, even though you don’t stand for it at all? Is a stigma that hard to break?

In todays instant information age I have learned that perception is reality in the eyes of the public and that reality is everything when it comes to business, relationships, and ministry.

What can you do as an individual or an organization- while still networking with old friends and old organizations who have a negative perception in the eyes of the public- to revitalize your image in order to show who you truly are? What does it take change someone’s false perception of you?

And does it matter if your new image alienates those you once affiliated yourself with?

These are things that I don’t have the answers to, but is something I’m wrestling with now and would like my readers to wrestle with as well.
