Hunger

I’ve grown up in church. I have seen so many people become so stagnant in their ‘so-called’ faith.
I notice it even more as an adult. People that claim to have had their lives changed by an everlasting living Jesus sitting with their mouths shut during worship, coming to church out of obligation, and giving their tithes and offerings to the Lord out of fear. Everything seems to be done out of religion and not out of passion for their relationship with Jesus.
But this past Sunday I met a person with hunger in their eyes who had just commited their life to Jesus. They wanted to learn more about God through His Word and wanted to grow closer in relationship with Him.
It was exciting to see someone so hungry for transformational relationship with Christ. And it is my prayer that this person never allow the stagnancy of religion take its place!
It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit can use me to ignite those who have allowed their faith to grow cold into a burning vibrant relationship with Jesus once again!
And most of all, I pray that I can be used to introduce people far from God to Him through a relationship with Christ.
