Morality
One mistake I often see Christian leaders make, myself included, is that our primary focus can appear to be moralism: the concern of whether or not someone is being a “good” person or a “bad” person.
The big problem with this is that the Bible is abundantly clear that we are sinners from birth. That we by nature our children of wrath. The Bible tells us that all have sinned. It even says that every desire in our heart is to do evil.
So the problem with teaching people to be good or bad doesn’t solve the problem because by nature we are all very bad.
What gets me us why the Church gets their panties in a bundle wen they see the world sinning- It’s what they do!
It would be like getting upset at a fish for swimming.
So why should we be so surprised when everyone lives together before getting married? Why should we be so appalled when homosexuals want to get married? Why should be shocked when pornographic websites are the most visited on the internet?
Sinners…..SIN!
The problem in our world is not the media companies who are pushing sinful agendas to our people- That’s always been around in some way or the other.
The problem is the Church who does not understand that they have been empowered and filled with God the Holy Spirit to spread the grace, love, and hope of God the Son Jesus Christ, by the will of God the Father.
Instead of trying to get the world to be moral, which is IMPOSSIBLE, we need to get the world to see Jesus so that
He can save them from their sin nature and give them everlasting life and relationship with Him.
Once THAT happens, the Spirit baptizes, fills, seals, sanctifies, regenerates, comforts, empowers, gives gifts to, and speaks through the newly saved child of God to conform them into His image and gives them a stronger desire to do right by Him, than to sin against Him.
