Cancer
The Church is the Body of Christ: Jesus’ physical representation on earth through the power and infilling of the Holy Spirit.
We are all members of this One Body who exist for the benefit and advancement of this Body. Each of us are different parts and have unique roles and purposes for accomplishing the greater good.
Sadly though, some in the Body (or claim to be in it) are not body parts at all.
Some are cancer- fast growing, life destroying tumors that place themselves on vital members of the Body in order to slow the overall Body down and even destroy it.
When we allow things like greed, pride, gossip, crisis-producing, drama-whoring, jealousy, coveteousness, and neediness to take over our lives we can quickly change from being life producing parts of the Body to the very cancers that are trying to destroy it.
We could discuss all day if these cancers were really a part of the Body or not before they turned into these death-harboring tumors, but that’s redondous.
The only thing we can concern ourselves with is eradicating these cancer cells and tumors by what ever means neccessary.
