Rediscover

I’ve just finished reading the story of King Josiah of Judah in 2 Chronicles.
After the death of his idolatrous father, King Josiah set out to reform the kingdom’s worship to Almighty God. He cleared the nation of it’s idols and set up crews to restore the temple.
While his priest was working in the temple he discovered the long forgotten Book of the Law ( thought to be the Book of Duetoronomy).
It was read to the King and he was deeply distressed as he realized that the land and its people had not lived according to the law of God for decades, because they had long ago forgotten of it’s existence.
King Josiah led his people to abandon their traditions and to worship God and lofe their loves according to His standards.
I think that may be what’s going on iny generation, and I pray it is. I believe young men from various different denomination and traditional backgrounds are rediscovering the Word of God and it’s authority in their lives.
I believe that a generation is tired of the old way of doing things- doing things a certain way just because that’s how it’s always been done- and wants to discover the heartbeat of God once again.
As this is taking place, religious traditionalist are getting angry and offended, but God is being honored and His Kingdom is beginning to advance again in ways like we haven’t seen in centuries.
So I would advise you to rediscover the Word of God, dust it off, and dig in. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you through His Word and move you to reform the worship and lifestyle of a generation to properly serving and loving the God who has saved them.
Because people are tired of tradition. And God is tired of religion. What we need is Spirit and truth! May Josiah’s
sprout up all over the world to usher in the Kingdom of God.
Josiah’s religious reforms, even though they were righteous and pure, ended with Banylonian attack and exile for the decades of debauchery committed by his Kingdom.
But I believe that today’s reforms will
culminate in an end-times revival, ushering those set apart for salvation into the Promise Land, as the world begins to be judged for it’s millenia of godlessness and is sent into exile away from the Almighty God.
