I’d give my left pinky for an iPad! (literally)

Today a 59 year-old Colorado man literally lost 2/3 of his left pinky finger and sustained nerve damage to his ring finger while trying to thwart an iPad thief at the local mall. The thief followed him out of the retailer he purchased the new Apple product at and thought he could easily yank the man’s bag containing the iPad out of his hands. But the man was not willing to let his iPad go easily. He held on for dear life until something finally gave; unfortunately what gave WAS his finger. He had the bag’s handle wrapped around his fingers and when the thief pulled, so did the the man’s flesh- right off of his bone. Doctors had to amputate the majority of the rest of the man’s pinky because of the damage suffered. So when you say things like,” I’d give my “insert body part here” to get a new iPad”, just remember, some dude actually did!

The worst thing about it? The iPad wasn’t even for him??!! He was buying it for a friend in Canada where the iPad is not yet available. That Canadian owes this guy…well…a pinky.
