Whoomp! There Obama Is!

This is such a great story! The internet has been buzzing for the past few days about the possibility that Barack Obama was in Tag Team’s Whoomp! There It Is music video in 1993. I thought the idea was preposterous until I saw it myself. At exactly 1 minute, 1 second into the video an apparent  ’young looking Obama’ shows up for about 2 seconds playing dominoes and talking on a brick phone. His unmistakable nose, smile, ears, and skin tone are undeniable. The only thing that really puts it in to question is the fact that he’s wearing sunglasses. Due to the uncanny resemblance, though, the chances of it actually being Obama were high. But the chances get much higher if you watch the video again. At 47 seconds into the video you see what appears to be a young Michelle Obama dancing in the crowd. Her looks and even the way that she moves are a dead-ringer for an early nineties first lady! The same woman appears again in a more direct shot at exactly two minutes and thirty seconds into the video. What are the chances of a Barack Obama and a Michelle Obama look-a-like appearing in the same music video in 1993 at the right approximate age of the Obamas at the time?!! If it was just the Barack look-a-like, I could brush it off as simply not knowing. If it was just the Michelle look-a-like, I wouldn’t even had noticed, and even if I did I could have brushed it off as simply not knowing. But both of them on the same video?! It seems like more than a coincidence. Check it out for yourself:

Gawker.com did supposedly interview the rapping duo of Tag Team who claimed the dominoes playing man was not Obama but a rapper friend of theirs from LA. Sure! That’s what they want YOU to believe! Whoomp! D’ar-it’es!
