Characteristics of Highly Unforgettable Leaders (from Joe Champion)
A few weeks ago i went to the Association of Related Churches Pacific Northwest Pastors Gathering at New Beginnings Church in Gresham, Oregon. It was a pleasure to have Joe Champion from Celebration Church in Austin Texas as the conference’s keynote teacher.
Here are a few notes that Champion shared from his thoughts on David’s Mighty Men found in 2 Samuel 23:8-19:
Highly Unforgettable Leaders are:
- Intense
- Willing to do what no one else is willing to do
- Self sufficient
- Committed to change
- Spiritually sensitive
- Risk Takers
- Team players (willing to be forgotten)
- Individuals (they were their own men, willing to be themselves)
In Kindergarten I was officially voted 'Most Inquisitive'.
I have been asking questions ever since as I believe that they are the catalyst to discovering the world all around us.
The answers to these questions have led me into an everlasting committed relationship with Jesus Christ, into a marriage with the love of my life, and into being the father of the two most beautiful children on earth.
It is my personal mission to glorify God with my life, advance His Kingdom through my ministry, and to love my family with everything I have.
