Sun Stand Still Prayer, Part 7

The sixth building (in preference, out of 6) that I am asking God to make the Sun Stand Still for so that we can use it as a church facility for God’s glory in this city is:6.The unit at the far South end of the Lancaster Marketplace shopping Center (same complex as Winco, Shopko, and Dollar Tree).

I believe that this facility used to be the far South end of the store Sportsman’s Warehouse, and was the far South end of the long-since-gone-out-of-business big box hardware store Home Base.

The facility is very large, I believe over 30k square feet, and has recently been remodeled on the outside and is just waiting for the right organization to move in. Who better than a church that exists to connect people to an everlasting committed relationship to Jesus Christ?!

This building choice seems a little odd, but like the old Home Collections store, the location is virtually the same (just on the other side of Lancaster) and there is not much going on in terms of churches in this area of town at all. The location is highly visible from Highway 22 and boasts lots of traffic just in the parking lot alone from people coming to shop in one of the shopping centers many stores. Plus, there is LOTS of parking dedicated to this facility.

The location is an end-cap to the building so a porch-like structure and possible fenced-in playgrounds could be added to the side. There is also a huge loading dock in the back that could be used for interesting things as well.

The inside is HUGE and would take a lot of renovation to build dividing walls and things inside to make it function as a church.

SO, I’ve mentioned many buildings that would make awesome churches- all quite diverse in nature.We as a church need to have the audacity to ask God to provide us with a new building because He has the ability to perform.
