The Truth About Managing People, Part 10
Truth Number 50 in Part 10 of The Truth About Managing People stood out to me in today’s reading. It’s the idea that first impressions do count. Nothing can be more true in the church world. When someone visits your church for the first time, the impressions that are made within the first 5 minutes will greatly impact their attitude towards enjoying their entire experience there, and especially the likelihood of them coming back. So everything must be done with the church’s best-foot forward. With me as a leader though, I will make sure to do my best to make a good impression on those I may potentially be ministering to. I will make a conscious decision to be aware of the way I walk, talk, dress, and look when I go before the public so that I, as a minister, can make a positive first impression which will be a good impression for Christ and His church.
